Innovative Production Services began in the summer of 1981. It started with a joint collaboration with the legendary Reice Hamel. We were commissioned to do a recording at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion of the New American Orchestra with guest conductor Henry Mancini. It was a special night with guest performers John Lewis of the MJQ Quartet, Joe Porcaro, Ray Brown, Tommy Tedesco, and Ray Pizzi. This recording was to just an archive recording but it was so good Henri Mancini told us not to give out any copies to the musicians. This was a start to a great relationship with Reice Hamel Recording.

In the fall of the same year IPS began doing concert sound production at the Beverly Theater in Beverly Hills. We also co-produced several concerts at this venue including Tina Turner, James Brown, Miles Davis, Temptations & Four Tops, Chick Corea w/Paco DeLucia, and several others. This joint venture with Westworld Productions lasted till 1987. We then moved our operation to Anaheim to 2400 seat venue called the Celebrity Theater. We produced many national acts that included the likes of Willie Nelson, Gloria Estefan, Dionne Warwick, Chuck Berry, Roy Clark, Waylon Jennings, Def Jam Tour '87, Guns and Roses and a host of others.

We also host many corporate events including Apple Computer, Reebok, The NAMM Show, Championship Boxing, ECW Wrestling and many more. With it's revolving stage and great acoustics it became the place to be in Orange County during the late 80's and early 90's. Live sound and live recording was our specialty during those years. We ventured to more studio projects and live video production in the mid 90's. We also did many sound and acoustic installations including KCRW Radio, Jump Cuts Production Studio, First Lutheran Church Redondo Beach, Warsawa Restaurant Santa Monica, and several other custom installations. From consulting to installation we try to cover all the bases in the audio and video field. IPS is well experienced and capable of meeting all your needs in the production field.
